Temporary Prohibition of Driving Order 2023
NOTICE is hereby given that Caerphilly County Borough Council in exercise of its
powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) intends in not
less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, the effect of
which will be to prohibit vehicles from proceeding along:-
Fochriw to Gelligaer Mountain Road between its junctions with Glen View
Terrace and B4254 Gelligaer Road in a southerly direction.
The proposed Order is expected to commence on 17 March 2023 for a
period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works have been completed,
whichever is the earlier. The road closure will be in effect each day between the
hours of 07:00 and 19:00. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 31 March 2023.
Emergency service, pedestrian and resident access will be maintained.
Alternative routes are via B4254 Gelligaer Road, B4254 Pengam Road, A469 Angel Way, A469 Station Road, Factory Road, Factory Road, Groesfaen Terrace, New Road, Mill Road, Bailey
Street, Park Cwm Darren, Bailey Street, Glen View Terrace, Bailey Street, Glen view Terrace
The reason for making the Order is to allow for resurfacing of carriageway.
The Order is required by Caerphilly County Borough Council.

nid yn fwy na deunaw mis neu nes bod y gwaith wedi ei gwblhau, p’un bynnag sydd gynharaf. Bydd y ffordd ar gau bob dydd rhwng 07:00 a 19:00.
Disgwylir i’r gwaith gael ei gwblhau erbyn 31 Mawrth 2023.
