The 15th of June will see the return of Civil Parking Enforcement officers to the streets. The officers will play a key role in ensuring that our roads and town centres are kept safe and unobstructed in order for people to return to work and undertake necessary journeys over the coming months.
The officers will focus initially on major town centres and the surrounding streets to ensure that there is no indiscriminate parking causing obstruction. This will fall in-line with Welsh Government proposals to reopen non-essential retail stores.
Residents will not be charged for parking in council owned car parks, this will assist those key workers and those undertaking essential journeys to use the facilities, this will continue until further notice. Signs are in place in these facilities.
The stay local rules remain in place and we ask residents to only travel when essential.
