It is with a heavy heart that we report the sad passing of
Councillor Josie Bissex. A wonderfully warm, welcoming
lady, who was passionate about ‘her’ community of Bargoed.
Fondly known as ‘Josie’, she served the community as a
Bargoed ward Councillor at Bargoed Town Council for over 20 years,
and was very proud of her time as Mayoress from 2007 to 2008.
Josie’s passing will be a huge loss to the Bargoed community; she
will be tremendously missed.
Bargoed Town Council Members would like, on behalf of local
residents, to extend their sincere condolences to Councillor
Bissex-Foster and the wider Bissex family; and request that
the community respects their privacy during this very difficult time.
