Unfortunately, a decision has been made to cancel the planned Bargoed Christmas Market tomorrow (Saturday 6th December) due to the forecast of high winds.
The latest forecast shows gusts of up to 43mph, which exceed the safety limits of temporary structures such as market stalls. Therefore, we have no option but to cancel the event, as safety is paramount and we also need to give traders, suppliers and visitors adequate time to rearrange their plans.
The council will reschedule the event to a new date on Saturday 21st March 2026, to ensure Bargoed gets the event it deserves. Next year, Bargoed will be host to a fantastic events programme with three great events planned – so watch this space!
Please continue to support Bargoed Town Centre in the lead up to Christmas, as the businesses in the town were looking forward to the increased footfall from the Christmas Market.
